As DBS Technologies is rapidly expanding, we seek an electronics hardware engineer to take on electronics design, building and testing in support of our ongoing clinical trials. The position will report directly to the Senior Engineer, and at times, the company’s Chief Operating Officer.

As the successful applicant, you will work closely an energetic team of engineers, scientists, clinicians, and product developers to assist in the design, implementation, and evaluation of both externalised and implantable medical devices  leading to commercial products for use in clinical practice. The work may also include using research equipment to acquire bioelectric signals from Parkinson patients in a hospital setting, and require the ongoing management of hardware and software of associated systems.

In this role, the engineer will have a unique opportunity to collaborate with an established R&D engineering team, world-leading partners, and to see the work translated directly into clinical practice.

The position requires a proven track record of electronic hardware and software design using industry standard tools, along with best practises and mixed signal analysis techniques. Good interpersonal skills are required to work effectively within a talented team and with diverse stakeholders. Previous experience working in a quality controlled or similar environment will be seen as an advantage. The role will also demand best outcomes and all aspects will no doubt challenge the most skilled applicant.
